the boss serve us sushi & sashimi on the biggest boat in the restaurant! Thank you!!
He said he had never used this big boat before, it's so sweet of him!! He even took a camera out to take a picture of the boat.

I covered up my friends' faces lol! I dont think they want to be exposed.

More info: http://www.kintonramen.com/

This place is new! It just opened up on May 18 this year (so just about a month) but it's already so popular! Everyone is talking about this place. We went on a Monday and we waited for at least ONE hour for a table...(there were around 20 people in front of us)!

we asked for hot tea when we got there, didn't know it actually cost $2, the server didn't inform us but oh well...

Gyoza - homemade pork dumplings $3.5
- it's yummy!! =)
- it's not deeply fried like the Gyoza you usually get at the other Japanese restaurants, it is soft on the top and crispy on the bottom as you can see in the picture
- not oily at all! =)

Karaage - fried chicken $4.8
- you get to choose spicy or original, here is the original one
- it's not bad, but nothing special about it.

Kinton Pork Ramen $12.8
- you get to choose regular or light for your soup and choose pork belly or pork shoulder (here, this is pork belly)

 Cheese Ramen $10.8
- miso and light soup with swisscheese, kinton pork, beansprout, corn, basil
- the soup is not hot enough to melt all the cheese...
- this cheese soup base is super filling.
- we chose pork belly for this ramen

Spicy Garlic Ramen $9.8
- ramen with chili pepper, kinton pork, beansprout, green onion, scallion, fresh grated garlic
- we chose pork shoulder for this - the pork shoulder is not bad.
- the "ball" on top of the pork is a scoop of garlic
- we were expecting the soup to be super spicy, but it was ok, not that spicy...

Shoyu Ramen $9.5
- ramen with soy sauce, kinton pork, beansprout, green onion, scallion, nori, seasoned egg
- chose pork belly here, was expecting it to be more tender, didn't really like the pork, maybe it's just me..
- you can add additional toppings like (corn, seaweed, beansprout...) for around $1-2. Should have added corn! I love eating corn with ramen!

Miso Ramen $9.5
- ramen with soybean paste, kinton pork, beansprout, green onion, scallion, corn, garlic oil

- here is the menu, the part on the left is drink menu which I didn't take a picture of it
- 7 kinds of ramen to choose: miso, shio (sea salt), shoyu (soy sauce), spicy, vegetable, cheese, kinton pork (all the ramen is pork bone base)
- you can add additional toppings (top right corner of the menu) around $1-2: kinton pork shoulder/belly, seasoned egg, sweet corn, nori, butter, seaweed, grated garlic, bean sprout
- there are 7 appetizers: Gyoza (homemade pork dumplings - fried), Kinton Nikuzara (kinton pork), Karaage (original/spicy fried chicken), tofufurai (tofu nugget), Kinton Salad.... ...
- only 2 kinds of rice: Kinton Don (Kinton pork on rice) and Ikura Don (salmon roe on rice)

- the receipt comes in a dim sum tray (steamer). so cute =)

Waa... 5:25AM now, Good Morning everyone && Good Night for me, SLEEP TIME!! x_x

chestnut cake (clay miniature)

Made a mini chestnut cake for my Aunt's birthday! (She loves chestnut cake.)
The mini chestnut cake is made out of clay, it took me probably 1-2 hours to make it.
&& then I went to the cake designer and asked him to try to make a chestnut cake that looks like my mini chestnut cake.

Environment:
- this place is small and cozy. probably less than 12 tables.. better go there early, or else there will be a long lineup!
