Went to Thai Basil tonight for dinner. The food is pretty good!

We started with two appetizers: Thai cold rolls (米紙卷) & Thai bbq pork (炭燒豬頸肉)
Thai cold roll (with tiger prawns in it) $6.95
The thai cold roll is rice paper wrapping vermicelli, shredded carrots, cucumbers, green onions, basil and mint leaves. It has a really strong taste of mint leaves. I personally didn't really like the cold roll because of the strong taste of mint leaves...But if you are a fan of mint leaves, you probably will like this.

Thai BBQ pork $8.95
Tender pork grilled in Thai style, served with pickled vegetables and homemade spicy BBQ sauce.
I LOVE it! The pork is so tender!!! It is super super delicious with the homemade spicy BBQ sauce!

Here comes the two main dishes: Pad Thai (泰式炒金邊粉) & Pad Woon Sen (泰式炒粉絲)Pad Thai (with chicken) $10.95 - rice noodle stir-fried with eggs, tofu, green onion, bean sprouts in authentic pad Thai sauce and served with peanuts and fresh lime.
The portion is really big! Probably takes 2 people to finish it!
The Pad Thai was good but it wasn't really that authentic. It has a strong tomato taste. It's not spicy at all. Well I didn't expect them to be authentic anyway so I wasn't really disappointed..
(If you wanna try Authentic PAD THAI, go to Sukho Thai - 274 Parliament Street (South of Dundas) http://www.sukhothaifood.com/, they have the best pad thai I have tried so far)

Pad Woon Sen (with chicken) $10.95 - clear vermicelli stir-fried with eggs, tofu, green onion, bean sprouts in authentic pad thai sauce and served with peanuts and fresh lime.
The portion is also really big!! Same taste as the Pad Thai. But since I like clear vermicelli so I ordered Pad Woon Sen. It is pretty good. The clear vermicelli is so thin.

Overall, it's a pretty good place to go eat. The service is good, the waitress are more than welcome to explain and recommend the dishes to you. And the Thai BBQ pork is a MUST TRY!

But if you like thai food, i would recommend "Sukho Thai"
      It's at downtown - 274 Parliament Street (416 913 8846)
      Here is their website: http://www.sukhothaifood.com/

I love their padthai, its not just another tomato sauce pad thai. Their pad thai is spicy and authentic! =)

The place is small and its always packed with people, so try to go there early like around 5 or 6.
