baby shoes (made out of clay)

Made two pairs of baby shoes. One for myself and one for my friend's son Jaden.
Didn't take long to make them, probably took one hour to make a pair.
Everything is made out of clay, the baby shoes, the ribbons, and the blocks. Then I went to Solution to buy the plastic box to put the baby shoes in it. The box is just the size of a palm.
I think they look cute and it's a pretty good gift for newborns. =)

For my friend's son, Jaden

The whole thing is just the size of a palm

I like how the way it opens, you slide the other part of the plastic box to open it.

  2. Another master creation. Should mark 1/2 and 2/2 as the only 2 art pieces for this series

  3. You can also think that way. Usually the same art piece may be hand made up to say 50 pieces. Each of the 50 pieces will be labelled from 1 to 50, like 1/50 .... 50/50.

But I don't think you will always do more than a piece. Exception like you want to leave one in your collection and the other for gift. Each of your creation is so unique

Where do you get all these ideas?

    1. haha yea, i usually just make one piece. I have too many ideas of what to make, need to keep making until one day i ran out of ideas. Well I made 7 mandarin trees for my family and myself. http://grace510.blogspot.com/2012/01/happy-chinese-new-year.html

some of them is my teacher's idea, some of them it's my own idea.

  4. You must have a very good teacher. By the way the first time I see your eggette stand, I doubt whether it is real. Haha. Trick me but not after that. The more I look at these pictures, the more I like them :). Is it a special interest class

    1. haha thank you. =) i love the eggette stand too, the eggette comes out really good, looks like a real eggette but a super tiny size.

Special interest class? I go to this lady's house, she teaches clay miniature in her basement. She teaches little kids from around 6-18 and of course some adult like me. Each class is 2 hours, you can go as many class as you want during the week, and she will teach you what you want to make. interested in our class? haha come join us!!!

  5. I want to do it but not now. I'm too busy. Haha. You must be the big kid. Don't know how long you are with her but your skill is very mature. She must be proud to have such a student like you. May be one day you can be the teacher

    1. yea, usually there is 3 students each class (2 hours). the maximum is 6 in each class. Teacher doesnt want to go over 6 because she cannot give as much attention as she can la.

I go there A LOT! as long as you book with the teacher you can go anytime if she's free too. I go tuesday, thursday, friday haha. usually classes are 2 hours right, but I go there 3 or 4 hours every class (every tuesday, every thursday, every friday) so people only go to class 2 hours every week, but i usually go 10 hours a week haha!

    1. I was walking around in First Markham Place. U know those 格仔店? 一個個box租比人放D野落去賣. the place is called INBOX格仔鋪, my teacher was displaying her miniatures in one of the boxes. I saw them and I went inside the store to ask the boss about it and he gave me my teacher's name card and information, I called her right away and she told me she will have a class in the next 2 hours, i rushed over to her house and started my first lesson of clay miniature haha =)

I have always been interested in art stuff, mostly any kind of art, drawing, fashion designing, making clothes, making clay miniatures...

Last year before I have started miniatures, I made a super large size of a Tim Horton's cup for my uncle's birthday using cardboard paper (since he loves tim hortons - he drinks tim hortons everyday!). The tim hortons I made was bigger than two hands.

  8. Haha. Good that you find your interest. You are the lucky one who explore yourself and strengthen your interest one after another. Not that many have such a chance. Of course it is with your commitment and speedy reaction that you have all these miniatures now. 有趣有趣, 有時間有興趣真有樂趣

  9. You got a lovely Dad. Seeing you happy is his happiness. On the other hand, your Mom just wants you not to affect your school work. As long as you can balance them and show it, I don't see any problem. And all of you will be happy happy. Can you do that? Creativity is as important as having high marks!

  10. of course i can do that. oh well. I will keep doing my miniature no matter what haha, unless its really affecting my study or i wont stop making them =D

  11. Glad to hear. Artist always has her own thought. Ah...I can see more and more of this quality. Your parents should be proud of you. 努力 to create more miniatures only if you have leisure time
